  ZERO TOLERANCE for Privatization in Corrections

     Privatization is a concern, and fear of all Corrections Officers, and how it looks the threat will never go away.
     I have been fighting privatization since 1994 when a committee was set up to evaluate the possibility of privatizing the Morris County Correctional facility, and the their labor program.  In both instances the Corrections committee was able to prove that privatization, or “profitization”, was not cost effective, and would endanger the residents of Morris County.
     NJCO.ORG has a ZERO TOLERANCE position, when it comes to the privatization of law enforcement jobs.
     The committee since then has gained the support of legislators, including the governor who has promised not to privatize any law enforcement position.
